2025 AGM Agenda and Constitution Changes

 

Dear Members, 

Please see the attached Agenda and attachments for our Annual General Meeting, being held at 7:00 pm on 28 July 2025 at Alexandra Community House. CLICK HERE to access the agenda and Constitution changes.

 

New Constitution

Our Committee is proposing a motion to adopt a new constitution, as required by recent changes to the law. The committee motion and draft constitution are attached with the AGM Agenda.

Without limiting the opportunity for discussion at our AGM on the new Constitution:

1.     If any member plans to propose changes to the draft Constitution at the AGM, we’d appreciate it if you could email your suggestions to our Secretary at mtbofalex@gmail.com as early as possible. This will allow the Committee time to consider the proposal before the meeting.

2.     Should you have any questions about the draft Constitution, please feel free to direct them to the Secretary before the AGM. We’ll make every effort to respond via email in advance of the meeting, provided we have enough time.

 

Election of Officers
Caitlin Feasey and Eddie Adams are not standing for the committee this year following their recent moves to Queenstown and Christchurch, respectively. Nev Grubb is also not standing after 6 years on committee and 5 years as Treasurer. We'd welcome new nominations at the AGM. We are especially keen for officers who can bring diverse viewpoints and skills and help represent the full cross-section of our membership base, including youth.
